Paying for others mistakes?

Paying for others mistakes? Why should I or anyone else pay for someone else's mistake? I learned a lesson when I was a teenager. I had a paper route in my neighborhood, I took it over from another kid in the neighborhood. he took me with him a couple of days to show me the route. I paied for my bond which was required at time out of the allowance that my parents paid me for house work. Everything was going good the first couple weeks till I went to collect for the first time. Back then and maybe in some places you paied your paperboy/person once a month personally. Not by mail or online but I would ring the door bell and collect cash. I went up to the door of one of the houses I had been delivering to for a couple weeks and asked for the money. I was told " I never ordered the paper and I am not paying for it", I was shocked how could he take the paper for a couple weeks and then not pay for it? I was piised at the man but as I continued on the rest of my route I came to realize that it wasn't his fault I delivered to the wrong address, so why should he pay for my mistake.....

Now I have been renting for quite awhile now for many reasons. Primarily I am in the aviation maintained field and I have been laid off several times. I have moved to three different states while doing this job so it would be crazy for me to purchase a home, when in my opinion, I have no guarantee of a job next week. Also my credit sucks which is my own fault in many ways and also due to being laid off several times. So I would never even have thought about buying a home much less actually qualify for a loan. Or so I thought. Well it seems that many people could buy a home with similar or even worse credit than mine, a much lower income than mine, ect......

I am sure I am not the only one who either played by the rules or knew they were unable to buy a house. And now we are told we will have to bail these other people out. Well I learned this lesson fairly young." I didn't give you the loan to buy the house I didn't tell you to buy a house you could not afford so why should I bail you out?" Very similar to what the guy on my paper route said to me huh? To me that's not even the worst part of the plan. Not only are we bailing these people out, but we are told that by doing so we are going to help those that did play by the rules by keeping housing prices from falling even more. So let me see if I got this right. We are going to give people who can't pay their loan now money to pay for something that they could not afford so the price of the house won't go down. Isn't the problem that they bought more house than they could afford in the first place? How do we know they won't be like the auto makers, and come back in a few months or years and ask for more? I won't even go into the fact that the many of those who are pushing this plan are also the ones who pushed legislation that caused it.....

Maybe some of those now in power should have had a paper route as a kid. Very simple lesson learned at a very young age sticks with you for a lifetime.

My recovery story

Recovery.gov ask us to tell our recovery story.

Here is mine.So far I have lost roughly $600 from my 401K since President's Inauguration. Well over $6,000 since Sept of 2008. I still have a job for now. I guess if I am let go I could get a job as a telemarketer. I seem to being getting several calls a day to help with the mortgage I don't have or the credit cards I don't have. I thought the Federal do not call list was supposed to stop these? I am somewhat confused . How come I saw a house representative on the news yesterday saying there was only 10 billion in earmarks on the house Omnibus Spending Bill? Mr. President are you going to call them on this or is it just Governors, Mayors and Business you are going to call out for fiscal abuse?

Grocery line etiquette

Ok maybe not grocery line etiquette but Wally World etiquette. It starts in the parking lot. Now I don't consider myself handi-caped just temporarily hobbled. However all you need to get a handi-cap sticker or mirror tag is a doctor's note, so I got one. Now if I can find a handi.. spot I will use it, it's easier on me, but if not I just find the closest normal space. I don't know how many times before and since my accident that I have seen someone get out of a car with a sticker or tag and run, literally run, into the store. I mean these people could run a marathon or play profession sport yet they or someone in their family has a tag. If you don't need it save the spot for someone who is actually in need of that closer spot.

So you find a spot to park and make your way into Wally World. Now until recently I had to use one of those electric scooters or a wheel chair. Man I am really glad Wal-Mart provides those. However they should consider buying the wide wheel chairs for those of us who need a wide load sign on our back side. Now again just because you are extremely overweight I don't think you should use that as a reason to ride around on the electric scooters, yet many people do. And just because you're are handi-capped in some way and need one, use some common since and courtesy while driving them. Some people act like they own the whole store and others act as if they had never been on anything motorized their entire live. I mean come on they're not that complicated to figure out.....

So you get your cart and hopefully it rolls smoothly and doesn't sound like a grinding wheel and start to do your shopping. Now why is it that there is always a group of people who just stop right in the middle of the isle and hold a conversation. I understand talking with someone you know but step to the side and stay outa the flow of traffic. And if you have to bring your yard apes with you keep them under control. Contraire to some peoples believe Wally World is not a play ground or jungle gym for your yard apes to play in.....
Now after you get your groceries and make your way to the checkout line is where the real annoyances begin. First off cell phones? I mean what is so damn important that you have this long drawn out conversation in the line? it just annoys everyone around you and slows the whole process down. Secondly, If you go thru the 20 items or less line have 20 or less not 50 plus items. Thirdly show some courtesy to the people behind you if you use a cart buy only a small amount and can carry your bags out take your cart to the door with you. Why should I have to push your cart outa the way just to buy and put my groceries in my cart? Fourthly, Why must some of you wait tell you pay the cashier to start loading your cart with your stuff. Now I used to work in a grocery store as a bagger but Wally World is not that kinda place. Damn it put your own stuff in the cart don't waste my time having the already slow cashier do it for you. Along the same lines why wait tell everything is rung up before you get your money/checkbook/credit card out? You know you have to pay for it some of the women search for several minutes in there purse for something they should have already had out and ready. ....

Now I know the people who most likely will read this are not the problem, but I just needed to vent this evening. However if you know someone who may benefit from this short etiquette lesson feel free to pass it on.....

Letter to RNC Chairman

Mr. Steele:

I was pleased to see you say you would hold those who did not follow true conservative values, to a higher standard so to speak. Even going as far as to look for others to run against them in future elections. I am paraphrasing some what, but after seeing you on Glenn Becks program I was left with the impression you were going to steer the party in a more responsible direction.

Now last night Mr. Beck called several Republican and Democratic house members out for the ear marks they sponsored in the $410 billion Omnibus Spending Bill. (Thank you Mr. Beck). My question to you is what are you going to do about it? I saw one Democratic member on Fox News saying there is only 10 million in earmarks in this bill, far less than normal. I saw someone others including Press Secretary Gibbs saying well that's last years business so it doesn't really matter. Now I am an aircraft inspector, lets say I see something that has been broke for a long time, what do you think would happen if I said well that was broke a long time ago and the plane has been flying around just fine so forget about it? Maybe not the best analogy but I think you can see where I am coming from.

I guess in essence, I want to know are you for real and are you going to come out against those in your and more than likely my party who still continue to waste my and others money? Or are you just someone who the GOP put up to make the party look good because President Obama is the first black man elected to that office? I have never cared about color or sex or religion I just want someone who like Mr. Beck says, " Say what you mean and mean what you Say", not say one thing then do something else? We have more than enough of that in power right now.

Thank you and Good luck
